The thought of meeting someone for the first time and discussing intimate concerns can be daunting. We would like this experience to be comfortable and easy for you.
Initial contact
If you wish to discuss any initial concerns or want to see if our service is the right fit for you we are more than happy to speak on the phone or by email .
You can self-refer or be referred by your general practitioner or psychiatrist.
We are registered with a number of different health insurers including
Allianz Care, AXA PPP healthcare, Aviva, BUPA, Cigna Healthcare, Healix Health Services, VitalityHealth, WPA.
We will send you some initial forms before your first appointment including a registration form, cancellation policy and details about privacy and consent. You can find further information about how we treat your personal information at the Privacy Policy.
Initial Assessment
You will have a 50-minute initial session. This is an opportunity to get to know your therapist, discuss your presenting concerns and develop a treatment plan.
You are under no obligation to continue therapy after the first session.
Venue
We offer psychological services ‘in-person’ at our offices in Marylebone, London, online or by telephone. We can also arrange to attend your workplace.
Therapy Sessions
You will arrange the frequency and number of sessions with your therapist depending on your need. Usually, at the beginning of treatment, therapy takes place on a weekly basis to enable you time to build rapport with your therapist. This may change as therapy progresses.
Standard sessions are 50 mins. They can be longer if requested or depending on the type of therapy for example, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
In Crisis
If you are in crisis and require immediate medical assistance please contact your GP for an emergency appointment, walk into any Accident and Emergency department, or call 111.
Alternative services for mental health support include the Samaritans (telephone 116 123) available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or Saneline (telephone 0300 304 7000), available between 4.30pm and 10.30pm each evening.
